Most people tell a story of how they went from zero to six figures. Mine story is the opposite. I went from six figures to zero. I had success in the bag. I thriving, highly rated business, loyal clientele, a beautiful home, happy family…the works. I got burnt out. I thought, "I have good reviews online, I can take this business anywhere." So I packed up and moved to small town Arkansas, opened a little salon and figured I could get just enough clients to cover expenses, work the hours I wanted and be semi-retired. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework on small towns. They use the tried and true word-of-mouth method of advertising and don't go online to see who might provide the excellent service they are looking for. Needless to say, after a year and a half I closed the doors and had to get a real job.

I don't know how many of you have ever had everything you wanted and then had to give it up…but working for someone else was never part of my game plan. It is not the they didn't treat me right as an employee, but I could see all the mistakes that the corporate office was making…even the customers could see the errors, yet I was not in a position to fix anything. I knew I had to get back to being in charge of the customer experience.

I shifted from just working hard to create another job for myself to engaging my purpose and just being ME. Uncovering my purpose in life was quiet an eye-opener. I had always "coached" my skin care clients through career changes, relationship issues, problems raising children and more. Now it was time to bring that experience to those outside my client base. We all have great talents and gifts to bring to the world, most of the time we are just too busy to see them. This past year has been amazing. I left my job, moved to another state, bought a new car and made a difference by doing it my way.

I'm a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner. I have trained with several business and lifestyle coaches. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship (just for fun).
