We specialize in hand-scraped wood floors in the DFW area.

Have you heard about Hand-Scraped Wood Floors?

What exactly is a hand-scraped wood floor? The unique process of creating the "hand-scraped" finish is one that requires customized tools and craftsman-like attention to detail. Just like it sounds, the floors are scraped by hand, then sanded, stained, and sealed. The result is a uniquely distressed or rustic finish which is reminiscent of an old floors you'd see in New England or Old World Europe.

Wood floors may be the best improvement you could make to your home. Many fads in flooring have come and gone. None stand the test of time like real wood floors. When properly cared for, real wood floors will last for the lifetime of a home because they can be recoated for durable protection and restored to like new condition.

Hand-scraped 3/4” thick solid oak floors is our primary focus. Why? Because we believe that these wood floors are superior in so many ways. Beauty, uniqueness, easy maintenance, long-term value, durability, repairability and more.

Ultra-low odor and quick-drying products. One of the biggest objections you'll hear from competitors who are trying to talk you out of real hand-scraped wood floors is the odor or fumes from the products (stain and polyurethane). Most of our customers never leave their homes during any part of our installation. That's because we use ultra-low odor water-based polyurethane and quick-drying stain. And there's no sacrifice for quality or durability with these products. In fact, our products are proven to be more scratch resistant than the commonly used oil-based polyurethane.

Our full-service approach makes it easy on the homeowner. As experienced remodeling contractors, we know that "other items" are involved when installing new wood floors. Some items include installation of new base moulding, paint (or stain) the new moulding, door height adjustment, door thresholds, demo of tile or other flooring. Our estimates always include the other items so you know how much the total job will cost.

Providing special treatment to clients and the floors. For every hand-scraped hardwood floor installation we perform (450 square foot minimum), we provide the homeowner with special tools and instructions for the care and maintenance of their gorgeous new floors. This includes special mops, spray cleaner, and a touch-up kit (total est. value $65.00).

If you're thinking about upgrading the flooring in your home to hardwood floors, please give us a call. We're available for daytime, evening, and weekend appointments and in most cases we can provide a detailed proposal before the conclusion of our appointment.
